HOME SCHOOLING

I provide specialist personalised home-schooling support for families educating children at home (Elective Home Education). This includes high-quality teaching of Maths and English Language, plus support with the planning, organisation, documentation/evidence gathering, and communication with the local education authority.

Helping a Student

Who is it for? 

My home schooling support is for families who:

  • Have their own vision of their child’s education needs. 

  • Need individualised education that mainstream school can’t realistically provide for their children.

  • Travel frequently or live between locations, and need education that moves with them.

  • Have a child who has left school (temporarily or permanently) but is still of compulsory school age and needs a stable plan.

Tuition

I offer:

  • Steady, reliable day-to-day tutoring in Maths and English Language. 

  • Study skills that matter in home education: independent learning, organisation, revision habits, and exam technique.

  • Support for exam routes (for example GCSE/IGCSE and related preparation) when that is part of your plan.

For students focused on exam preparation, tuition will be aligned with the National Curriculum and will prepare students for major UK exams, including: 

  • GCSE ( Foundation / Higher )

  • IGCSE ( International GCSE )

  • A-Level for continuing students 

  • International A-Level for continuing students 

Each student’s tuition is tailored to the exact syllabus and exam board they are entered for. I currently support all the main UK exam bodies, including: 

  • AQA ( AQA Education, OxfordAQA )

  • Edexcel ( Pearson Edexcel )

  • OCR ( Cambridge OCR )

  • CIE ( Cambridge International Education )

  • WJEC ( Welsh Joint Education Committee )

Accelerated programmes to pass exams early 

Students can truly thrive in their home education and, through accelerated learning, take GCSE, IGCSE or A-Level exams early compared with their peers studying in mainstream schools.

Parent-focused support*

  • Simple, consistent progress tracking.

  • Support with evidence gathering: work samples, short summaries, and periodic reports that are clear and professional.

  • Help with responding to local education authority enquiries about your child’s education, including help preparing written updates and an evidence pack for tutored subjects.

Who am I?

I am a highly qualified, experienced Maths and English Language teacher with over 15 years’ experience helping students achieve excellent results in UK schools. I hold MSc and MA degrees, a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education), and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). All tuition is delivered by me personally, from the very first lesson onwards, so students never have to worry about being passed between different tutors or dealing with tutor rotation.
